As a Mercatus Analyst, Charvak Karpe focuses on quantitative modeling and software development. To complement his strong background in financial theory, he relies on R, Python, C++, VBA for Excel, and other programs in his analytical and software development work
Mr. Karpe has an international perspective, as his professional background includes derivatives trading and quantitative research with Saen Options, a proprietary trading firm based in Amsterdam.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, also from MIT.
